Overview

My interest in dermatology developed through work in health policy and access to medical care. A natural focus on sun exposure, sunburn protection, and skin cancer emerged and led to my specialty training in dermatopathology. As a dermatopathologist, I examine biopsy specimens under the microscope to confirm skin cancer diagnoses. In addition to my medical dermatology clinics, I also teach residents and medical students and serve on medical education advisory boards. My dermatology practice encourages patients to take an active role in skin cancer screening and prevention both for themselves and their loved ones.
