Michael S. Sabel, MD, FACS is the William W. Coon Collegiate Professor of Surgical Oncology in the Department of Surgery at Michigan Medicine. He completed his undergraduate training at Pennsylvania State University and obtained his medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia. His general surgery residency was performed at Rush-Presbyterian-St. Lukes Medical Center in Chicago. Dr. Sabel completed an NIH-T32 research fellowship in tumor immunology and a surgical oncology fellowship at Roswell Park Cancer Institute in Buffalo, NY. Dr. Sabel joined the University of Michigan faculty in 2001.
