Overview
Murry Drescher, M.D., is a non-invasive cardiologist specializing in clinical cardiology and geriatric cardiology. He cares for patients in clinic on Mondays and Fridays at UHealth Plantation, and Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoons at UHealth Boca Raton. A Brooklyn, NY native, Dr. Drescher earned his bachelors degree in biology at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY and his medical degree at the Mt. Sinai School of Medicine in New York City. Upon graduation from medical school in 1981, Dr. Drescher completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, and also completed fellowships in critical care and cardiology at the University of Miami. Following completion of his fellowships, Dr. Drescher entered private practice in Broward County, where he practiced clinical, nuclear, and interventional cardiology for more than 25 years. He founded a cardiac catheterization laboratory at one of Broward Countys premiere hospitals and was instrumental in launching its open-heart surgery program. In 2012, Dr. Drescher relocated to Boulder County, Colorado and in 2019, he returned to South Florida and the University of Miami to serve patients in Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties.
