Dr. Wayne J. Franklin

Dr. Ari Cedars is a cardiologist in Baltimore, Maryland. He also serves as director of the Adult Congenital Heart Disease Center at both the Johns Hopkins Heart and Vascular Institute and the Blalock-Taussig-Thomas Pediatric and Congenital Heart Center. Dr. Cedars is an associate professor of medicine and pediatrics at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Dr. Cedars specializes in adult congenital heart disease. Mary T. She has published over 150 papers, including the American Heart Association Scientific Statement on the Diagnosis and Treatment of Fetal Cardiac Disease, the American Society of Echocardiography Guidelines and Recommendations for Performance of the Fetal Echocardiogram, and the Call to Action Report on Prioritizing Delivery Room Care for Neonates with Critical Congenital Heart Disease. Ashraf Harahsheh, MD, FACC, FAAP, joined Children’s National Hospital in September 2008 as a full-time attending. He is currently the director of the Kawasaki Disease Program and Cardiology Resident Education and is active in inpatient and outpatient care, as well in the Preventive Cardiology Program with a focus on hyperlipidemia. Dr. Harahsheh completed his fellowship training at the Children’s Hospital of Michigan, Wayne State University School of Medicine, Detroit, Mich. Dr. Harahsheh is board certified in pediatric cardiology. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American College of Cardiology and a member of the National Lipid Association and the Academic Pediatric Association. Dr. Harahsheh received his doctorate of medicine from the University of Jordan-College of Medicine, Amman, Jordan. He is an active member of the Joint Council on Congenital Heart Disease’s National Pediatric Cardiology Quality Improvement Collaborative (NPC-QIC). His research interests include resource utilization, quality improvement and development of new educational programs teaching the next generation of providers communication skills surrounding subspecialty referral.
