Each patient is reviewed by a multidisciplinary team of physicians and treatment plans are designed with patient input, using a shared decision making model. The HCM Center offers comprehensive HCM treatments including: medical therapy, defibrillator implantation, alcohol septal ablation and surgical septal myectomy. The HCM Center is also one of the first centers in the PNW to offer the recently FDA-approved novel HCM medication mavacamten through a comprehensive drug safety program. She also serves as a principal investigator for ongoing HCM clinical trials.Dr. Harper has authored and published multiple peer reviewed articles and book chapters in a wide range of topics in cardiology. She has been an invited speaker at both national and regional meetings on topics including hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, hyperlipidemia, and preventive cardiology.
