Overview
Most heart disease is preventable, and even after disease development, modifiable. It is this fact that keeps me talking with my patients. As physicians, we have a shared responsibility to decrease the burden of cardiovascular disease by addressing cardiac risk factors before disease development. Through my training, I have learned to treasure the special privilege of entering my patients’ lives at a time they might be most vulnerable. When the complexities of medical delivery in today's society complicate care, this special privilege continues to guide me and allows me to put my patients first. Understanding a patient's perspective and wishes is critical to being able to counsel and choose appropriate management and treatment options effectively. I enjoy taking care of patients with a range of cardiac conditions, both in the clinic and hospital. I also have a focus in echocardiography and nuclear cardiology. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, biking, art, movies, and listening to music.
