Overview
I was drawn to endocrinology because I enjoy working with patients on a long-term basis. When caring for patients, I listen to their concerns and tailor their medical care to meet their needs. I strive to provide comprehensive care for patients without losing sight of their day-to-day needs. My approach to medical decision-making is collaborative. I work with patients to come up with a plan and attainable goals. Using this approach encourages success. Outside of my practice, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I like volunteering at my children's school, sewing and running. I am a member of the American Diabetes Association (ADA) and the Endocrine Society. Like other clinicians in our Endocrinology Department, I follow the American Thyroid Association guidelines on treatment of thyroid disease, and the Endocrine Society Guidelines on treating testosterone deficiency and adrenal insufficiency.
