Duke Adult Comprehensive Sickle Cell Center - Clinic 2N
I treat patients with non-malignant (non-cancerous) blood disorders like sickle cell disease, thalassemia, iron deficiency anemia, and immune thrombocytopenia. Several of my patients have blood disorders that have been present since birth. Others have blood disorders that they acquire later on in life due to nutritional deficiencies or autoimmune causes. I have a special focus on treating adults with sickle cell disease. I became interested in sickle cell disease because several of my family members have died from the condition, while others are thriving while living with it. I chose to become a hematologist because I want to improve care for adults with sickle cell disease and enjoy helping improve the lives of all patients with non-malignant blood disorders. I enjoy cooking plant-based, vegan foods because I believe good food is a vital part of maintaining good health and building healthy blood cells. Dr. Oyedeji is rated as an Advanced provider by MediFind in the treatment of Hemolysis. Her top areas of expertise are Sickle Cell Disease, Hemoglobinopathy, Congenital Hemolytic Anemia, Hemolytic Anemia, and Thalamotomy.
