Dr. Stephen Monroe earned his medical degree from the University of South Florida College of Medicine at Tampa and completed his internship, internal medicine residency, and cardiology and interventional cardiology fellowships at the University of Florida College of Medicine in Gainesville. He held the position of assistant professor of medicine in the Division of Cardiology at the University of Florida College of Medicine.Dr. Monroe was one of the first cardiologists in this area to perform radial catheterizations. Currently, Dr. Monroe is involved in a number of cardiology research studies either as principal investigator, co-investigator or sub-investigator, or protocol co-author.
