"Giovanni Bonomo, MD, is the director of colorectal surgery at Staten Island University Hospital and the only board-certified colorectal surgeon on Staten Island. He specializes in treating a wide variety of diseases that affect the colon, rectum and anus including hemorrhoids, inflammatory bowel disease, diverticulitis, appendiceal and presacral masses, rectal prolapse and cancer.A native Staten Islander, Dr. Bonomo has always felt a fondness for his community and a strong desire to give back.
