Dr. Hilton obtained her medical degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her internal medicine residency at the Western Pennsylvania. She has over a decade of experience treating breast cancer patients. She joins MUSC after a successful career in Pittsburgh, PA where she served as the Director of Academic Breast Oncology and the Director of the Glimmer of Hope Metastatic Breast Cancer Clinic at AHN. She was a teaching attending for the internal medicine residency and the hematology oncology fellowship at AHN and was an assistant professor of medicine at the Drexel University College of Medicine. While in Pittsburgh she also worked in operations at the National Surgical Adjuvant Breast and Bowel Project (NSABP) Foundation as a clinical research collaborator for breast oncology clinical trials.Her clinical interests are young women's breast cancer, breast cancer during pregnancy, metastatic breast cancer and clinical trials exploring novel compounds. She joins MUSC as the Director of Community Breast Oncology with the goal of expanding clinical trials at MUSC. She has served as the institutional primary investigator on multiple clinical trials. She is a published researcher in her area of expertise. Dr. Hilton has mentored many young physicians and has great pride in their success.
