"To advise my patients on a lifelong course of health and wellness using some science, sharing some knowledge, using social skills, maybe a little laughter along the way to help you achieve your goals since there is nothing more valuable than good health. I enjoy family medicine because I can get involved at every stage of a person's life, not be restricted to any one area of medicine ( like not going to the same restaurant when there are so many other choices). Plus it allows me to engage in some office procedures such as joint injections, skin lesion biopsies or removal/cryotherapy, that otherwise would be referred to a specialist, so it can stay ""in the family.""What I want my patients to know about me:I will try to guide you on your journey towards better health and spend the time with you that you need. For the physician-patient relationship to work well I also ask that you be an active partner engaged in improving your own health. My vision is I am an adviser on your life journey. I'm in the passenger seat yet you are the driver of your decision making. Ask me how I can perform for you many minor in-office procedures, such as joint or tendon injections, trigger point injections for muscle spasms, toenail removals, skin biopsies or lesion removals/excisions without the need for a specialist. I can also counsel you on smoking cessation, weight loss, or any issue that is a stressor for you. Try to be best prepared for your appointment by bringing questions, family members, your current medication list, and have your lab or other tests done if indicated so we can engage in a productive discussion about your health.What I do when I'm not seeing patients:There is lots that I do ""off duty"": Skiing, bowling, scuba diving, bicycling, golf, kayaking, home improvement projects, cooking or baking, camping at our Delaware shore site, winemaking, gardening, canning, playing with our cats ""George"" and ""Jasper"" or our loving golden lab ""Champ."" I also keep aquarium fish and raise chickens for fresh eggs everyday. Love spending time with my wife Dana and my four children. I might also be found occasionally in a virtual reality video game to escape whatever else I am supposed to be doing! Most importantly I have explored further my painting abilities, mostly watercolor as well as other mediums, and am in the process of creating my own ""Artistry By Night"" website.".
