Dr. Jihoon Baang earned his medical degree from Yonsei University in South Korea and completed his residency in internal medicine and fellowship training in infectious diseases at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. He is currently an Associate Clinical Professor of Medicine in the Division of Infectious Diseases at the University of Michigan.At Michigan Medicine, Dr. Baang serves as Associate Director of Antimicrobial Stewardship and works as a clinician educator. He teaches multiple courses at the University of Michigan Medical School and has received numerous teaching awards for his commitment to medical education.Dr. Baang’s global health experience includes leading the multidrug-resistant tuberculosis program in Armenia with Doctors Without Borders. His professional honors include being named a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and a Fellow of the Infectious Diseases Society of America. He has also been inducted into the Clinical Excellence Society at the University of Michigan in recognition of his outstanding clinical care.
