
Overview
Dr. Marshall Cress is a board-certified neurosurgeon and Medical Director of Neurosurgery with the Orlando Health Spine Center, a multidisciplinary collaboration between Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute and Orlando Health Neuroscience Institute. He is a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, the Congress of Neurological Surgeons, and the North American Spine Society. Dr. Cress earned his medical degree from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and completed an internship and residency in general surgery at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas. He then completed a residency in neurological surgery at the University of Missouri, followed by a fellowship in endovascular neurosurgery at University at Buffalo Neurosurgery, New York. Dr. Cress has a special interest in treating pathology of the intracranial and extracranial blood vessels, and in treating trigeminal neuralgia. He performs open and minimally invasive endovascular procedures for carotid artery stenosis, vertebral artery stenosis, arteriovenous malformations and aneurysms. He also treats a wide variety of general neurosurgical conditions including brain tumors, peripheral nerve disorders and spine disorders. Dr. Cress has been published in multiple journals, including Neurosurgery, Journal of NeuroInterventional Surgery, Journal of Neurosurgical Sciences, The New England Journal of Medicine, Journal of the American Medical Association and American Journal of Neuroradilogy.
