
Overview
Dr. Neha Rickson is a board-certified endocrinologist with the Orlando Health Cancer Institute, specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of diabetes as well as thyroid, adrenal, pituitary, parathyroid and other endocrine disorders. Before joining Orlando Health, she spent more than a decade in private practice in Central Florida honing a skillset that includes: Thyroid cancer management Fine needle aspiration of thyroid nodules Diabetic insulin pump management Osteoporosis management Chemotherapy and radiation-induced endocrinopathies PCOS, adrenal and pituitary disorders Dr. Rickson tailors each patient’s therapy to their lifestyle. Because the conditions she treats are often lifelong, she enjoys building lasting relationships with her patients and helping them achieve their personal health goals. Dr. Rickson’s Training Dr. Rickson attended the University of South Florida (USF) in Tampa for both her undergraduate and medical education. She graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in natural sciences and biology and was in the seven-year medical honors program. Dr. Rickson earned her medical degree from USF’s Morsani College of Medicine, where she also completed a residency in internal medicine and performed a fellowship in the endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism program. About Dr. Rickson Dr. Rickson grew up around physicians in her family and learned at an early age the importance of dedication and giving back to the community. That community featured many cases of diabetes, which drove her toward pursuing a career in endocrinology. In her community service endeavors, she has a special interest in treating the elderly. Dr. Rickson is a diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine. Her professional memberships include the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists, Endocrine Society, Florida Endocrine Association, Florida Medical Association and the Central Florida Association of Physicians from the Indian Subcontinent. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family and traveling around the world.
