Rebecca Sippel, MD, is a UW Health surgeon. She’s also a professor at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health in the Department of Surgery.Dr. Sippel treats people with disorders involving their hormones and the endocrine glands that make those hormones. She performs surgery on the thyroid (small gland at the base of the neck), parathyroid (pea-sized glands behind the thyroid) and adrenal glands (on top of the kidneys).Dr. Sippel has a special interest in treating people who need a second parathyroid surgery to correct a procedure performed elsewhere. David Schneider, MD, MS, FACS, is an endocrine surgeon at UW Health and an associate professor at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health, Department of Surgery.Dr. Schneider specializes in diagnosing and treating all endocrine issues, including autoimmune conditions such as Hashimoto’s disease, Graves’ disease and myasthenia gravis, tumors (both benign and cancerous), hormone imbalances and endocrine cancer.
