With more than 30 years of experience as a gastroenterologist, Dr. David Hess loves taking care of people. He finds it particularly rewarding to know that he’s helped his patients feel better.Dr. Hess sees adult patients for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of gastrointestinal diseases and hepatology. He also performs screening colonoscopies and endoscopies. He likes to create a positive environment where patients can feel safe, relaxed and confident in their medical team. He encourages everyone to get some aerobic exercise daily, to help both mental and physical wellbeing and increase stamina.A native of Cincinnati’s west side, Dr. Hess and his wife have three children and five grandchildren. He enjoys sharing his expertise on medical mission trips and has traveled to Kenya, Belize, Mexico and Haiti to care for patients. He enjoys swimming and outdoor activities. He is a member of Ducks Unlimited, an organization dedicated to conserving waterfowl habitats.
