Overview
Dr. Francisco Maderal obtained his medical degree from The University of Dominica. He completed his Internship and Residency in Internal Medicine at Charity Hospital in New Orleans and at Louisiana State University Medical Center in New Orleans. He completed his Fellowship in Gastroenterology at Louisiana State University Medical Center . Dr. Maderal is Board Certified in Gastroenterology and has been in private practice in South Florida since 1986. He has served as Chief of Medical Staff at Hialeah Hospital. He has been on the Board of Trustees of Palmetto General Hospital and Hialeah Hospital . He is an active member and leader in organized medicine. Dr. Maderal served as the President of the Dade County Medical Association and served on the Board of Governors of the Florida Medical Association. He is currently a Clinical Assistant Professor at Florida International University – Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine.
