Dr. Gregory M. Marcus

Dr. Henry H. Hsia is a cardiologist and electrophysiologist in the Cardiac Electrophysiology and Arrhythmia Service. He performs catheter ablation to treat complex arrhythmias, or irregular heartbeats, particularly ventricular tachycardia. In his research, Hsia explores new mapping techniques for identifying unstable, life-threatening heart rhythms. Hsia earned a medical degree at Tufts University School of Medicine. He completed an internal medicine residency at Michigan Medicine, the medical system of the University of Michigan, followed by a cardiology fellowship at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. He completed training in cardiac electrophysiology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Before joining UCSF, Hsia worked at the University of Pennsylvania, Temple University and Stanford University. Hsia is an avid scuba diver and a certified diving medical officer.
