
Overview
Dr. Jacob Bilhartz is the Interim Medical Director of our Pediatric Liver Transplant Program as well as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics, Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology.After growing up in Dallas, Texas, Dr. Bilhartz received his bachelor's degree from Haverford College in Haverford, Pennsylvania in 2004. He then returned to Dallas for medical school at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School. Dr. Bilhartz pursued his residency training in Pediatrics and subsequent fellowship in Pediatric Gastroenterology at the University of Michigan. He then completed further fellowship training in Pediatric Transplant Hepatology at Emory University and Children's Healthcare of Atlanta from 2014-2015 prior to returning to Ann Arbor to join the faculty. He is board-certified in General Pediatrics, Pediatric Gastroenterology, and Pediatric Transplant Hepatology.His primary clinical focus is in the Pediatric Liver Program, caring for patients both in the hospital and in the clinics. He is also involved in teaching our Pediatric GI fellows in their own clinics and on the inpatient Pediatric GI service.
