After earning her medical degree from the Medical College of Virginia, Dr. Skorupa completed an internal medicine residency at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, where she remained to complete fellowship training in hematology and oncology. She is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in internal medicine and the subspecialties of hematology and medical oncology. A skilled, compassionate oncologist and hematologist, Dr. Skorupa chose her medical specialties because of the close relationships she is able to develop with patients due to the frequency of care needed. With honesty as one of her most prominent core values, she is committed to giving her patients the care and concern they deserve. Her medical practice is also based on the philosophy that a team approach is the best way to care for a patient.
