
Overview
Dr. Frank Kim (not to be confused with Dr. Richard Kim, his brother) comes to us from the Cleveland Clinic, where he was Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine. He was also a Therapeutic Endoscopist with the Ohio Permanente Medical Group in Cleveland, Ohio. Dr. Kim has also held teaching positions at the George Washington University Medical Center and the Washington Hospital Center, where he developed the Flexible Sigmoidoscopy Training Program to instruct medical residents about colon cancer screening.
Dr. Kim received his B.A. in 1980 from Johns Hopkins University, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. He earned his M.D. in 1984 at the University of Maryland School of Medicine and his Masters in Business Science at John Hopkins in 1996. He completed a fellowship in gastroenterology in 1989 at the University of Maryland and did post-graduate research in molecular genetics. He has published articles about Helicobacter Pylori infection. Dr. Frank Kim is Board Certified in both Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. Dr. Kim is active on Heritage Valley Health System Sewickley Campus, Ohio Valley General Hospital, and Three Rivers Endoscopy Center staff. He is a participating physician in Pennsylvania Blue Shield and Medicare. His practice is limited to Gastroenterology. He is a member of the American College of Gastroenterology and the American Gastrointestinal Association. In his leisure time, he enjoys playing volleyball, attending live concerts and live theater, and travel.
