Dr. Nilesh A. Vyas

Dr. Nilesh A. Vyas is board certified in neurological surgery. He joined Inova in 2011.Dr. Vyas previously completed his neurosurgical residency at Washington University in St. Louis, followed by a fellowship in skull base and cerebrovascular surgery at the University of Miami. While he treats all neurosurgical conditions, he has a special interest in the management of cerebrovascular disorders including brain aneurysms, AVMs, vascular malformations, moyamoya disease, carotid artery stenosis, brain tumors, pituitary tumors and complex skull base lesions.Dr. Vyas also serves as the Chairman of the Department of Neurosurgery at Inova Fairfax Hospital and is the Chief of Neurosurgery for Inova. He chose to specialize in neurosurgery due to the complexity of the cases. Dr. Vyas is committed to ensuring his patients improve and thrive, helping them regain as much of their previous quality of life as possible.
