I have taken care of patient with seizures and epilepsy for almost 30 years. I have devoted my career to provide superb patient care and to investigate epilepsy and its causes.I am fortunate to work with the smartest people in the field of epilepsy and have been able to organize and lead multiple research projects in epilepsy genetics, outcome, imaging, etc.To help patients with epilepsy, I wrote two books for patients and families. Epilepsy 101: a guide to patients and families and most recently epilepsy surgery: a guide for patients.

He attained his MD from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons and completed Neurology residency at the Neurological Institute of New York, at NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center. Dr. Lassman completed his fellowship in Neuro-Oncology at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, where he joined the faculty and served as fellowship director, until his return to NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center.
