Dr. Tehrani is also part of the team that introduced renal denervation services for treating resistant hypertension, as well as the rapid-response team for diagnosing and treating pulmonary embolism and the team that treats chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension. Recognized nationally for his leadership, Dr. Tehrani serves on committees for both the American College of Cardiology and the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions. He has co-authored more than 100 peer-reviewed publications, abstracts and book chapters, with his work published in top medical journals including Journal of the American College of Cardiology (JACC), JACC: Heart Failure, JACC: Cardiovascular Interventions, JAMA Cardiology, Circulation: Heart Failure, and Journal of the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions. He has previously served as an academic cardiologist at the University of Toronto, President of Southern Medical Group, PA in Tallahassee, Florida, Board Member of Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare, and Co-Founder/President of the Tallahassee Research Institute (TRI). He is internationally recognized for his clinical and research expertise in interventional cardiology, clinical trials, outcomes research, regulatory science, and healthcare disparities in medicine. Fostering multidisciplinary collaborations within and between service lines, Dr. Batchelor has successfully built innovative clinical programs and improved patient outcomes within both private practice and academic medical settings.
