Overview
A board-certified neurologist, Dr. Lu graduated from Nantong Medical College and completed his neurology residency at Saint Louis University. He also earned a PhD in neuroscience and served as a faculty member at Duke University Eye Center and as a post-doctoral fellow at Medical College of Wisconsin. Dr. Lu has published more than a dozen peer-reviewed papers in international journals and has presented his research at numerous national and international meetings, including the American Academy of Neurology annual meeting. His research encompasses the pathological mechanism and therapeutic targets of Parkinson's disease, Huntington's disease, dementia, seizure, tremor, neuromuscular disorder, neurodegeneration, neuroregeneration and retinal degeneration. He treats patients with a variety of neurological conditions such as headache, seizure, multiple sclerosis (MS), Parkinson's disease, tremor, dystonia, dementia, myopathy, neuropathy, stroke, back pain, neck pain, confusion, numbness and weakness. He has a special interest in managing and using Botox® injections for headache, movement disorders, spasticity, as well as interpreting EMG, NCV, EEG.
