Dr. Pearce earned his Undergraduate and Medical Degrees at the University of Florida and completed his Surgical Residency and Vascular Surgery Fellowship training at Wake Forest University in North Carolina.Dr. Pearce has authored over 15 peer-reviewed publications, book chapters, and numerous invited presentations, and maintains a strong interest in teaching, working with the Medical College of Georgia Physician Assistant program and the Georgia Health Sciences University Medical Partnership. He has authored or co-authored numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals and been an invited speaker at local, regional and national meetings.Dr Woody relocated to Athens, Georgia when he joined Athens Vascular Surgery in 2005. The practice has continued to grow and has evolved into University Vascular which employs six vascular surgeons and eight physician extenders. Dr Woody also has an appointment to the Faculty of Medical Sciences as an Adjunct Clinical Associate Professor in the College of Public Health at the University of Georgia. He has served in numerous leadership roles within the Athens medical community.Dr. Woody is board-certified in vascular surgery by the American Board of Surgery.
