Overview
Jennifer Erickson, MPH, PA-C, has interests in GI conditions, post-military health concerns, mental health challenges, adolescent health issues, general health, and believes in educating her patients to take control of their health and treatment. Jennifer practices evidence-based medicine and empowers her patients to participate in creating their medical treatment plan to better their health. Jennifer is a member of the LGBTQIA+ community and believes in providing a safe space for those patients to receive healthcare. She is trained in the Dignity Model of transgender healthcare and prescribes PrEP for qualified patients. Jennifer began a career in medicine as an Army combat medic in 2003. After deployments to Kuwait and Iraq, she discovered the career of the PA and graduated from MEDEX Northwest in Seattle, Washington in 2009. She then became an Army National Guard PA in 2010 with multiple humanitarian, public health, and training missions all over the world. She began practicing civilian medicine in GI and hepatology with an emphasis in treating IBS, Celiac Disease, and Hepatitis C. She then transitioned into family practice and was a teaching professor for the University of Washington MEDEX Northwest PA program since 2016. When away from the clinic, Jennifer spends time with her spouse and son by challenging Escape Rooms, playing any sport possible, going to UW Husky football games, and playing many hours of video games.
