Robert L. Gottlieb, MD, PhD, FACC is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Cardiovascular Disease and Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology. His professional interests include aortopathies, cardiovascular genetics, cardiac tissue engineering, mechanical support in advanced heart failure, cardiac transplant, and adult congenital heart disease. Dr. Gottlieb earned his Masters in Genetics from Yale University and his PhD in Chemistry and Biochemistry from the University of Colorado at Boulder. He then obtained his medical degree from the University of Colorado School of Medicine. He went on to complete fellowships in Cardiology and Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, Iowa. Dr. Gottlieb is on the medical staff at Baylor Heart and Vascular Hospital, Baylor University Medical Center at Dallas and The Heart Hospital Baylor Plano.
