He completed an internship in internal medicine at the College of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in Newark and a fellowship in medical oncology at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. In practice since 1973, Dr. Bhandari is board certified in both medical oncology and internal medicine. He specializes in hematology and medical oncology, with primary clinical interests in breast cancer and lung cancer. He is a member of the American College of Physicians, American Society of Clinical Oncology, Texas Medical Association, Texas Society of Medical Oncology and Harris County Medical Society.
