I wanted to be an architect my whole childhood, until one day in 11th grade social studies class, I saw a movie about a cosmetic plastic surgeon in Paris who would go out to the surrounding rural areas and perform pro-bono (free) reconstructive surgeries on children with birth defects and accident/burn victims. The doctor was considered a hero by the people in the villages and deservedly so. He improved the lives of countless people and was loved and revered. When the doctor came into town, he was treated like a king. That day I decided I was going to be a doctor. I put my drawing paper and protractor away and have never looked back. What I want my patients to know about me:I want my patients to know that I care about them and will always do my best to help heal them. What I do when I'm not seeing patients:In my free time, I'm usually with my wonderful wife and kids, helping any one or combination of them with whatever they need. In the rare circumstance that all the planets line up in a row and everyone in my house is settled and doing well, I can swim in my pool, play my drums in the basement (my drum set is one of my prized possessions), or run off to the beach in the summer, lay in the sand, and bake myself like a french fry.
