He completed his residency in internal medicine at the Medical Center of Delaware and went on to complete two fellowships at Thomas Jefferson University — one in hematology/oncology and one in bone marrow transplantation.|A man of numerous professional accomplishments, Dr. Beardell is especially proud of his work as the medical director of the Bone Marrow/Stem Cell Transplant Program at Christiana Care Health System in Wilmington, Del., from 2003 to 2022. In fact, he was named 2012’s Man of the Year by the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Delaware Chapter for service to patients and families battling cancers of the blood.|In his spare time, Dr. Beardell enjoys skiing, cycling and sailing, as well as spending time with his family.
