"Dr. Benjamin Lessig is a board-certified family physician with additional certification in geriatrics through the American Osteopathic Board of Family Practice. With over three decades of experience, he has provided primary care in both community and facility settings, delivering care that is personalized, evidence-based, and focused on improving long-term health and wellness. Dr. Lessig completed his undergraduate studies at Rochester Institute of Technology in 1992 before earning his Doctor of Osteopathy from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1996. He completed a three-year family practice residency at Christ Hospital in Jersey City and a one-year geriatric fellowship at the University of Rochester. This extensive training prepared him to care for adults and seniors across a broad spectrum of health needs. Since 2005, Dr. Lessig has maintained a respected private practice in Toms River and has played an active role in teaching and mentoring nurse practitioner students, medical students, and family medicine residents. He has also served as medical director for nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and home care programs, as well as associate medical director for inpatient and outpatient hospice services.
