Dr. Harry Ojeas

Dr. Harry Ojeas earned both his undergraduate degree in biology and his medical degree from the University of Puerto Rico in San Juan. He completed his residency in internal medicine at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston and a fellowship in gastroenterology at the University of Oklahoma. Dr. Ojeas is board certified in gastroenterology and internal medicine. He has been in practice since 1990 and speaks Spanish. His primary clinical interests are anemia, colon cancer, Crohn's disease, hemorrhoids, hepatitis/hepatitis C and liver biopsy. He is a member of the American Gastroenterological Association, American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, American College of Gastroenterology, American Medical Association and Texas Medical Association. During his medical education, he was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. The basis of Dr. Ojeas’ practice philosophy is an understanding that each person is unique and that gastrointestinal problems can be subtle, complex and challenging to differentiate. Listening carefully to patients is as essential as maintaining the highest level of skill and expertise and adhering to the most rigid ethical standards. At the heart of excellent care, he believes, is the ability to look a person in the eye and tell him or her that he will do his best to help them.
