Dr. Danve has been active in Ankylosing Spondylitis research for more than a decade and his main interest is in facilitating the early diagnosis of AS among patients with chronic back pain. He is the inventor of A-Tool©, a screening survey for identifying AS among back pain patients, author on American College of Rheumatology Ankylosing Spondylitis treatment guidelines as well as Principal Investigator for Spondyloarthritis Research and Treatment Network Referral Recommendations (SPARTAN) for axSpA. Originally from Dharashiv, Dr. Danve stood 13th in Maharashtra for 12th grade (HSC) examination and thereafter completed his MBBS from Seth G S Medical College and KEM Hospital Mumbai. After securing 38th rank in India at All India Post-graduate Entrance exam, Dr. Danve chose to pursue his MD Medicine from KEM Hospital Mumbai. He completed his clinical fellowship in Rheumatology from Oregon Health and Science University, Portland Oregon and Research fellowship at University of Nebraska Medical Center, Omaha, Nebraska.
