Dr. Jared A. Christensen

Dr. Christensen spent ten years at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, where he completed his residency in Diagnostic Radiology and a fellowship in Cross-Sectional Imaging. After five years in private practice in southwest Oregon, he returned to training and completed an additional fellowship in Vascular and Interventional Radiology at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, with an emphasis on interventional oncology – the minimally invasive treatment and diagnosis of cancer. He returned to private practice for several years in Colorado, where he was honored as one of the top Interventional Radiologists in Denver. In 2020, Dr. Christensen returned to academia, joining the faculty at the University of Michigan. His personal interests focus on helping his patients and colleagues live better, longer, and stronger lives. In particular, he enjoys working with patients and their families to provide the best interventional care possible.Dr. Christensen is passionate about providing exceptional care to his patients and collaborating with other physicians and specialists to provide that care. He is also passionate about taking care of his colleagues, coworkers, and team members. He is the MPLAN medical director and chief of operations for the Vascular and Interventional Radiology division at Michigan Medicine and is a faculty associate in the Center for Positive Organizations at the Ross Business School at the University of Michigan. His academic interests center on the impact of positive leadership and virtuous actions on culture and personal outcomes, with the goal of helping individuals and organizations flourish and thrive.
