Dr. Ashraf completed his Internal Medicine residency and Cardiovascular Diseases fellowship at Detroit Medical Center—Wayne State University. He further honed his skills in Interventional Cardiology at New York University, learning complex coronary and peripheral vascular procedures from world-renowned experts. His clinical interests are vast, encompassing the critical treatment of heart attacks and cardiogenic shock, complex and high-risk coronary interventions, Pulmonary Embolism, and TAVR procedures. Notably, Dr. Ashraf directs AtlantiCare's Pulmonary Embolism Response Team (PERT), which under his leadership has become a leading center for advanced Acute Pulmonary Embolism treatment in South New Jersey, significantly enhancing care for this critical patient population. Beyond clinical practice, Dr. Ashraf is a dedicated Assistant Professor of Medicine at Rowan School of Medicine and a Principal Investigator for several Clinical Trials at AtlantiCare, bringing innovative treatments to patients. He actively contributes to resident and nursing training, quality improvement initiatives, and has numerous peer-reviewed publications in leading medical journals. A respected voice in his field, Dr. Ashraf is an active member of the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions (SCAI) and frequently serves as faculty and a panelist at major regional and international meetings. His leadership and excellence were recognized with his selection for the CRT Young Leadership Program in 2024 and the SCAI 30 in Their 30’s Award in 2025.
