Dr. Shikhar Agarwal

As an interventional cardiologist, Dr. Shikhar Agarwal specializes in treating valvular and structural heart disease in adults.|Dr. Agarwal earned his medical degree from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in India and completed his residency at the Cleveland Clinic. He also completed fellowships in cardiovascular disease, interventional cardiology and structural intervention at the Cleveland Clinic.|He is experienced in performing a variety of cardiac procedures, including transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) and mitral valve repair (Mitraclip), as well as the implantation of Watchman devices for the treatment of atrial fibrillation.|Dr. Agarwal currently leads the structural heart disease program at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville. Under his leadership, he has grown the program and improved outcomes for those under his care. He helped lead the construction of a state-of-the-art hybrid operating room, one of the largest of its kind in the country.|Dr. Agarwal has been honored for early-career success by being recognized among the Pennsylvania Medical Society’s (PAMED) Top Physicians Under 40.
