He then completed his residency in internal medicine at Stamford Hospital, serving as chief resident his final year. He is board certified in internal medicine. Dr. Hyland began his medical practice with Internal Medicine Associates of Rockdale (IMAR) in October 1992. IMAR was established in 1981 and has been serving the Rockdale community since then.
