Overview
Dr. David A. Morrow is the director of the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU) at Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH). A cardiovascular medicine specialist, he is also a professor of medicine at Harvard Medical School (HMS). He received his medical degree from HMS. He completed an internal medicine residency and a cardiology fellowship at BWH. He is board certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease. Dr. Morrow’s clinical interests include cardiac intensive care and ischemic heart disease. This includes both stable and unstable ischemic syndromes, with a related focus on the use of cardiovascular biomarkers for risk stratification and clinical decision-making. The author of over 200 peer-reviewed publications, he has received research funding from the National Institutes of Health. Castle Connolly has listed him as one of America’s Top Doctors.
