Dr. Steven P. Howard

Andrew Baschnagel, MD, is a UW Health radiation oncologist. He’s also a professor in the Department of Radiation Medicine at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health.Dr. Baschnagel specializes in treating thoracic cancers (between the neck and abdomen) and has a special interest in treating patients with lung cancer. He’s experienced in performing advanced radiation therapy to treat brain, spine and liver metastases (cancer that has spread).Knowing that every person is unique, Dr. Baschnagel is committed to providing personalized care that best suits each patient’s needs and goals. He takes time to listen to patients and their families. He educates them about their condition and treatment options so that they can participate in health care decisions.Dr. Baschnagel conducts research focused on lung cancer to foster new ideas and translate research findings into clinical practice.Outside of work, Dr. Baschnagel enjoys spending time with his family.I walk with patients throughout their cancer journeys and strive to help them reach their unique goals. Kristin Bradley, MD, is a radiation oncologist at UW Health and a professor at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health, Department of Radiation Medicine. She specializes in treating gynecologic, blood and pediatric cancers. She has a special interest in brachytherapy (internal radiation) for cervical, endometrial and vaginal cancers.Dr. Bradley values the opportunity to establish relationships with her patients. She treats them as she would want her own friend or family member to be treated. She finds it most rewarding to help people through a very difficult time and then see them thrive during follow-up appointments.Active in clinical research, Dr. Bradley investigates ways to improve radiation treatment. She also helps enroll patients in clinical trials for gynecologic, pediatric and blood cancer treatment.Outside of work, Dr. Bradley enjoys spending time with her kids, playing and watching sports, gardening and baking. Zachary Morris, MD, PhD, is a UW Health radiation oncologist and a professor and Chair of the Department of Radiation Medicine at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health.Dr. Morris uses radiation therapies to treat sarcoma (bone and soft tissue cancers), melanoma (skin cancer) and other cancerous and noncancerous conditions. Dr. Morris also helps manage disease-related pain and complications such as skin tightening that restricts movement.When treating patients, Dr. Morris considers the emotional impact of a cancer diagnosis. He engages patients with a caring, whole-person approach. He hears their concerns and educates them, offering multispecialty options to address their needs and preferences. He helps make their treatment as manageable and effective as possible.In addition to patient care and teaching, Dr. Morris leads a research-focused lab. His team offers clinical care and clinical studies of the immune-related effects of radiation treatments, including medications. They find ways to combine immunotherapies with other treatments for improved outcomes. Dr. Morris holds leadership positions in national cancer radiation and radiation-immunotherapy networks and institutes.Outside of work, Dr. Morris coaches his children’s baseball and softball teams.
