Overview
After attending medical school at Saint Joseph University in Lebanon, Dr Fahed completed his residency training in internal medicine at the University of Massachusetts Medical School. He then moved to the Midwest, where he completed a fellowship in gastroenterology at Aurora Health Care, the largest health care system in Wisconsin. Board certified in gastroenterology, Dr. Fahed specializes in all aspects of gastroenterology and advanced endoscopy, including management of obesity, inflammatory bowel diseases, pancreatobiliary diseases, esophageal diseases, hepatitis C and colon cancer screening. Some of the procedures offered by Dr. Fahed include EGD, colonoscopy, ERCP, EUS, EMR, luminal stenting, TIF, ESG and TORe. Understanding the importance of listening to his patients and building a professional relationship based on trust, Dr. Fahed also believes in bringing personal, social, psychological and spiritual factors into the healing process and the power of teamwork. The principal and co-author of many published manuscripts and abstracts in leading international journals in the fields of gastroenterology and endoscopy, Dr. Fahed also is a principal author in several medical books, including discussing the management of diarrhea in the Intensive Care Unit. He has been invited to present his research at international meetings, including at Digestive Disease Week (DDW) and the American College of Gastroenterology (ACG). Dr. Fahed’s four siblings are also physicians. When Dr. Fahed is not helping his patients, he enjoys spending time with his family, traveling and sampling new and interesting cuisines. He also plays the guitar and piano.
