Dr. Marty C. Tam

Dr. Marty Tam is an advanced heart failure cardiologist and echocardiographer in the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine at the University of Michigan. He currently serves as the Associate Program Director of both the Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship and Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology Fellowship Programs.He received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan and medical degree from The Ohio State University College of Medicine. Dr. Tam completed residency training in Internal Medicine at the Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine and University Hospitals Case Medical Center, and subsequently served as chief medical resident. He completed sub-specialty fellowship training in Cardiovascular Disease (chief fellow) and Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology at the University of Michigan.Dr. Tam's clinical and scholarly interests include medical education and innovation, advanced heart failure, cardiac critical care, and echocardiography.
