Dr. Kevin K. Hunger

Kevin K. Hunger, MD, is an independent medical oncologist board-certified in internal medicine and medical oncology at Ascension St. Vincent's in Fleming Island near Jacksonville, Florida. After receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Virginia in German and pre-med, Dr. Hunger chose to remain a Cavalier to earn his Doctor of Medicine. Upon completing his internship and residency in internal medicine at Emory University Affiliated Hospitals in Atlanta, Georgia, he was invited to serve an additional year with Emory as Chief Resident at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Atlanta. Dr. Hunger then went on to complete his fellowship in oncology at the University of California in San Diego. He then began his practice in Jacksonville and earned the distinction of FACP (Fellow of the American College of Physicians). He has clinical research in bone marrow transplantation, high dose-chemotherapy, and peripheral stem-cell harvesting. One of its original physicians, Dr. Hunger joined CSNF in 1992.
