Dr. Mariam Anwar

I’m a board-certified geriatrician and internal medicine doctor who is passionate about caring for individuals across all stages of life, with a particular focus on geriatric care and chronic disease management. Helping people age with dignity and grace – from the frail elderly to those who remain active later in life – is deeply important to me. I believe in identifying each person’s goals at every phase of health and partnering with them to support the highest possible quality of life. My experience spans long-term care, psychiatric facilities and hospice care. Before joining HealthPartners, I worked as the Director of the Geriatric Department at Hennepin Healthcare and practiced there for 12 years. I’ve been fortunate to care for people during some of the most important and vulnerable moments of their lives, and I remain deeply committed to compassionate, patient-centered care.
