Dr. Heitzman completed his medical degree at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. He finished his neurology training at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas from 1990-1993, serving as Chief Resident from 1992-1993. He completed a fellowship in EMG, neuromuscular disease and neurophysiology at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio from 1993-1994. He currently holds positions at Baylor University Medical Center at Dallas and the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas.
