Overview
Dr. Kathleen “Kathy” Hansen earned her medical degree at UT Health San Antonio Long School of Medicine. She completed her internship in general surgery and residency in otolaryngology at Hershey Medical Center in Hershey, Pa. Dr. Hansen has been in her current practice since 1996 and treats patients ages 2 and older for both acute and chronic primary care conditions. Her patient-oriented practice focuses on attention to detail and personal relationships among patients, physician and staff. She is proud to provide family medicine, taking care of multiple generations of families. A former clinical researcher, Dr. Hansen is detail-oriented, has good observational skills and is open to using novel treatment approaches. She treats patients as individuals and encourages them in their health journey. She is a member of Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and the American Association of Physicians and Surgeons. A resident of southeast Houston, Dr. Hansen is the mother of three grown sons, all of whom are engineers. Away from her practice, she enjoys being with her family, reading, doing Bible studies, working in her yard, traveling and walking her dog, Chester.
