Dr. Ryan J. Mattison

Ryan Mattison, MD, is a UW Health hematologist and an associate professor in the Department of Medicine, Division of Hematology, Medical Oncology and Palliative Care at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health.Dr. Mattison cares for adult patients with blood and bone marrow disorders and cancers such as leukemia, lymphoma and myelodysplastic syndrome (blood cell disorders). He also provides care for patients with soft tissue and bone cancers (collectively known as sarcoma).Dr. Mattison uses the latest technologies and treatments, including bone marrow transplants and other cellular therapies, to treat cancer patients. What excites him the most are the incredible advancements in the field over the past 20 years. He has a special interest in drug development to improve patient care and outcomes, and he conducts research and clinical trials involving cancer therapies for patients with leukemia and other blood cancers.Dr. Mattison treats every patient as an individual and personalizes care based on their needs.
