Dr. Philip D. Houck

After completing education and training at Texas A&M College of Medicine and Mayo Clinic Rochester MN, Dr. Giebel joined the Division of Cardiology at Temple Clinic Baylor Scott & White Health. He has been a staff cardiologist here since 1994. His career duties involve clinical cardiology, CVICU care, echocardiography and structural heart disease echocardiography, and diagnostic cardiac catheterization. He has been active in teaching medical students, residents, and cardiology fellows. He is thrilled to now serve the Central Texas community and help improve their well-being. He is interested in advanced heart disease translational and clinical research with a focus on early recognition and early staging of cardiogenic shock, mechanical circulatory support, ventricular unloading and transitions to recovery, replacement and/or palliation. Dr. Afshin Ehsan is a board-certified adult cardiothoracic surgeon.
