Dr. Asim Chohan

Asim Chohan, MD, is a board-certified interventional cardiologist, specializing in coronary and vascular diseases. He has served Midwest City residents for more than twenty years with the philosophy of listening to patients and treating them with empathy and compassion. Dr. Chohan works to ensure that patients are informed to make decisions about their health. Dr. Chohan earned a bachelor's degree from King Edward Medical University in Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan. He completed an internal medicine residency at East Tennessee State University in Johnson City, Tenn. Dr. Chohan pursued cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology fellowships at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. He is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in cardiovascular diseases and interventional cardiology and is a fellow of the American Colleges of Cardiology and Chest Physicians. He is also a member of the American Heart Association, American College Society of Angiography and Interventional Cardiology, Echocardiography and Nuclear Medicine. He serves as a clinical professor of medicine at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. Dr. Chohan specializes in complex coronary and vascular disease, echocardiography testing, doppler ultrasound for peripheral arterial and venous studies, and stress testing. He has thorough knowledge of various advances seen in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular diseases in the last decade. With cardiovascular disease being the leading cause of mortality and morbidity for both men and women, Dr. Chohan strongly believes that primary and secondary prevention can have a profound positive impact on the wellbeing of his patients.
